Events
The Welcome Center for International Researchers organises
regular events for international PhD students, postdocs and
professors. Family members are welcome to join these events,
too. Should you like to receive invitations as well as other
important information, please send us an email at welcome.center@uni-siegen.de.
You can also find some information on upcoming and past events
below.
Please note that usually registration via email is
necessary for the events!

Tue, 06 Feb: Game Night
We will meet on 6 February at 7 p.m. at
the Irish pub Camelot (Marburger Tor 11,
57072 Siegen) to have some drinks, play some board games
and chat. Please note that you will have to pay for drinks
and snacks yourselves. Therefore, we kindly ask you to
bring some cash in case it won’t be
possible to pay by card. In return, we will take care of
bringing different board games.
Please note that in Germany, children are allowed in pubs,
too.
Please don't forget to register! You can do so

Tue, 06 Feb: Game Night
In March we would like to invite you to go to the
cinema together on 7
March. On the first Thursday of each month,
Siegen's cinema “Cinestar” offers an
English language sneak
preview! At a sneak preview, a movie that is shown
before its release in Germany, and the exact title isn’t
announced beforehand.
We will meet on 7 March at 7:45 p.m. in
front of the ticket desk at “Cinestar”
(Sandstrasse 31, 57072 Siegen). In case you are not
familiar with the building: the ticket desk is on the 3rd
floor, to which you can get by using the escalators. We
will then get the tickets there all together. The ticket
costs will be covered by the Welcome Center so
places are limited and we kindly ask you
to only register if you are sure, you will be able
to make it. There is also the possibility for you
to buy snacks and drinks at the entrance once we have our
tickets. The movie will then start at 8:15 p.m.
