Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)
The Erasmus+ programme generation 2021 - 2027 provides a more flexible physical mobility duration to ensure the programme is accessible to students from all backgrounds, circumstances, study fields and study levels.
Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)
A new mobility type, the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), provides funding options for short-term mobilities in a blended format. The blended format includes a short-term physical stay abroad and a compulsory virtual/online learning activity (or component) before, during or after the physical mobility. This blended mobility as a whole is awarded with a minimum of 3 ECTS credits (physical and virtual component combined).

Funding Options
The International Office provides funding for Blended Intensive Programmes which are organised by a partner university of the University of Siegen.

Important:
- Students can only receive funding for a maximum of two Blended Intensive Programmes per academic year.
- Students can only be funded for a maximum of four Blended Intensive Programmes within a study cycle.
first mobility is supported before second, third or fourth mobility if there is sufficient budget.
if students apply for funding for another Blended Intensive Programme, all stays previously funded by an Erasmus+ scholarship must be fully documented and completed.
Requirements
The following requirements must be met by both organising institution and participant:
- duration of the physical stay abroad must be between 5 and 30 days
- physical and virtual component must be completed successully
- the blended mobility as a whole must be awarded with a minimum of 3 ECTS (physical and virtual component combined)
- credits achieved abroad must be recognised towards the degree in Siegen
- the blended mobility must be thourougly documented (see Erasmus+ Documents)
Application Procedure
Students apply directly at the partner institution. Successful applicants contact the coordinator Madeleine Höfer a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the start of the BIP via e-mail. Applications handed in later cannot be accepted. If questions arise regarding the Online Form or the application procedure, students contact also directly the coordinator Madeleine Höfer.

Erasmus+ Documents
BIP participants must document their stay abroad in accordance with the EU guidelines.
Before the Mobility:
- Letter of Acceptance (issued by partner university)
- Online Learning Agreement for Studies
- if applicable: Declaration on Honour for Equal Oppoprtunities and Inclusion
- for stays with a duration of more than 14 days: Online Language Support (OLS) Placement Test
- Grant Agreement (issued by ISA once the above documents have been submitted)
After the Mobility:
- Confirmation of Stay
- Transcript of Records
- Confirmation of Recognition from the University of Siegen (Anerkennungsnachweis)
- Participant Report (EU)
