Notice: Panel discussion at the ‘15 years of FraMeS’ anniversary event

The “FraMeS” mentoring programme for female early-career researchers is celebrating its 15th anniversary.

(15. April 2025) In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the “Mentoring-Program for Female Scientists (FraMeS)”, a panel discussion on the topic of “Excellence in Science?!” will take place on 8 May 2025. The guests Prof Dr Florian Heesch (Vice Dean for International Affairs, Research and Young Academics, Faculty II, University of Siegen), Dr Elisabeth Heinrich (Central Equal Opportunities Officer, University of Siegen), Prof Dr Kathrin Holten (FraMeS alumna, Professor of Explorative Learning in STEM Subjects, Pädagogische Hochschule Kärnten), Prof Dr Andreas Kolb (Prorector for Research, Infrastructure and Collaboration, University of Siegen) and Dr Daniel Müller (Head of the Postgraduate Centre House of Young Talents, University of Siegen) will discuss questions central for many doctoral and postdoctoral researchers: What constitutes excellent research performance, which is referred to as a prerequisite in many calls for academic positions or funding, and what makes an excellent researcher? The panel discussion will be moderated by Prof Dr Kerstin Ettl (FraMeS alumna, Professor of Business Administration, Westfälische Hochschule).

All those interested are cordially invited to the panel discussion on 8 May 2025 at 18:30 in the seminar centre US-S, Obergraben 25, 57072 Siegen. Registration is not required. Please note that the panel discussion will be filmed. An area that is not covered by the film recordings will be marked accordingly.
