HYT welcomes five new scholarship recipients

Five new doctoral students will take up a HYT Young Academy scholarship in the summer semester 2025.

(8 April 2025) The House of Young Talents welcomes five new scholarship recipients whose doctoral projects convinced the selection committee to award the HYT Young Academy scholarships: Andrés García Rengífo (Philosophy), Leonie Müller (Civil Engineering), Ylva Staudigel (Media Science), Ronja Bundrock (Business Law) and Lars Maczey (Physics).

In addition to attractive financial support, the scholarship recipients of the HYT Young Academy can expect an interesting programme every semester as part of the non-material support, which includes lectures from various disciplines and practical contexts, workshops or joint visits to cultural institutions in Siegen (e.g. the Museum of Contemporary Art or the Apollo Theatre).

At the joint kick-off event at the beginning of April, the new scholarship recipients were able to get to know each other and share their experiences. In addition to the scholarship recipients, one member of the Scholarship Recipients‘ Council, Svitlana Stupak, also took part in the welcoming event and informed the new scholarship recipients about her work as a member of the Scholarship Recipients’ Council.
